March 10th - In silent contemplation...
Piano teacher ask me to sign up for the upcoming young musician competition. Not sure if I should do it. Will face lots of better pianist. Will ask God.
Had an interesting day with the kids at adventurer's Club. Today we did courtesy and the adventurer's pledge and law. Few lessons I thought we could learn from these kids.
Me: " What is to be kind?"
Kid: " It means when somebody hits you or make you angry you must not get angry."
Lesson 1- To forgive is to be kind. Kindness can bring smile across many people faces.
Me:" What is to be obedient?"
kid:" When the teacher, or mother or father or, any people ask you the to do something, you must do the thing. You cannot say, I don't want to do or I'm tired or, ask somebody else."
Lesson 2- Ya. It doesn't mean that we only obey our parents but also the higher authority like how the kid got the teacher into the picture. However, not everything they say may be right-human error.
Me: " What is to be attentive?"
Kid : " It is to listen to the teacher when he/she talks. Otherwise, you'd get an F. You cannot get an A if you don't listen. If you had an A and you start not to listen to your teacher, your A will become a C and than a D and than an F!!"
Lesson 3- Some times we fail to listen to God still voice. "My people die of lack of knowledge" The Bible is one of our source to the knowledge. God still voice is another.
Comment:kids are learning the importance of good academic results. Some are even taking it really hard. I hope they don't neglect their given talent for the academic.
We can all learn from kids. Listen to them.
