A little about yourself here. I sit and wait Does an angel contemplate my fate And do they know The places where we go When we're grey and old

Day at home.
17:53
Didn't do very much today. Sat around, watched TV, did some housework...I don't think I did anything else.

During my day spent at home, I have thought of a few resolutions for the year. Yeah, it is a little late. Anyway, I've still got it done.

1) Eat less sweet food. (Refine sugar ain't the thing for me)
2) Practice more on the viola. (Been slacking off it for 10 days)
3) Get good grade for the fellowship exam.
4) Do well in school.
5) Get good results for theory exam.
6) Eat healthily. (Be hardworking to pack lunch and buy only fruits)
7) Wake up early to walk Hoshi, do devotion and get a good shower.

Argh...the piano tuning has been going on for an hour.Earlier on, the piano tuner was worried that one string would snap ( The low G sounded like an Eb. He tried tightening it only to realise that the knob was tight enough to snap the string with the slightest force put on it.) At present moment, the string is fine and the G sounds like a G now. Wahaha...

Back !
18:22
Finally back from an 8 days trip overseas. It was very much decided that we'd visit 3 places in Malaysia. Namely, malacca, genting and Kedah...
...in the end we drove all the way to Alor Star and to first state of Thailand, Sadao (Sawadika!).

The first day was driving the 300++km all the way to genting. We started at 10:00 and reached there at 7pm. Spent most of the time on the road. Dropped by Malacca for lunch. Had Delifrance. It was HORRIBLE. I had WATERY cream pasta, Eliana had big chunks of potato in her pie, Isaac's baked rice was half cold and half hot,and they gave us soda water instead of water. Service was really bad too. Dinner was much better. Ate at our favorite restaurant, Yikee. Watched irobot 'till 12...hee

We spent the 2nd day slacking. Didn't do anything much except to watch movies we bought of the Video shop in Malacca. We watched a war film. "Memphis Belle", a recount of one of the aviation team during WWII. Nice show. Cooked our own lunch. It was really delicious. The vegetables were really fresh of the garden. In the evening,Dad, Isaac and Eliana had a game of badminton. Cooked dinner and watched another war film, "Longest Day". It basically is about the D-day landing where the allies invaded France. Some parts were super comical even though it was a war film.

On the 3rd day we set of for Kedah at around 10am. The journey was LONG. We went past Ipoh, Penang, Langkawi and some other interesting places. On passing Ipoh, the scenery around changed. It was magnificent! Beautiful caves with limestones. The opening was huge. So we could catch glimpse of it. There lots of hills and the stretch of mountains were absolutely breathtaking. The moment we entered the state of Kedah, we were treated to an immensely beautiful landscape. It was basically filled with vast padi fields. It is so vast that it stretches all the way to the horizon in all direction, be it North,South, East or West. No wonder Kedah also known as the "Rice bowl of Malaysia". We reached the main city ( A very sleepy city indeed) at 5 plus. Checked in at Holiday Villa. A very descent 4 star hotel. The hotel is connected to one of the shopping complex. So we took sometime to shop. Nothing much. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant. They were out of many dishes. So I had Chicken rice. The meat was tough and dry. Not appetizing at all. Eliana and Isaac had fried rice which was super duper spicy. Even Isaac had a hard time to finish it all up. Mom had chicken curry. Worse dish ever. It was sour. Dad had beef hor fun which was pretty much watery. After dinner, we rested awhile. Isaac and Eliana went back with Dad. They played on their PSP while dad watched another war film which was screening on the TV. Was about the Peruvian war. Dad couldn't miss it. Mom and me went to the SPA. She had the Royal Malay Message while I had a scrub and flower bath-sheer indulgence.

4th day was more travelling. We drove all the way to Bukit Kayu Hitam, the border between Thailand the Malaysia. Couldn't drive in cause they required our car log book which we didn't know about. So, we walked into Thailand. It's dusty...argh.
Ate at a restaurant. Was really cheap! We ordered a whole sea bass, steamed with plum sauce, 4 fried fish, 1 pot of egg tofu, 1 green vegetable, 3 coconut juice and 1 sprite and it all total up to S$40! The food was really nice too. The thing about the rice was that it was, it was really soft and fluffy- yummz. They have a really nice flavour for the mouth wash, Listerine. It's vanilla mint flavour. I'm trying hard not to drink it down. Haha...

We left Thailand at 4pm and headed all the way back to genting. Was like 400+km...(Singaporeans don't drive that much in a day...) ... had cup corns for dinner...wasn't very hungry. We finally reached genting at 11:30pm....long journey. After my bath, I hit the sack immediately.

The 5th day was slack day again. Did nothing, nothing...and still nothing.

Sabbath was hiking day. It was super warm at 12pm...went to the waterfall in the evening. Didn't take a dip. Caught a cold in the midst of the trip.

Sunday was KL day. Went Times Square. Shopped, shopped and shopped. Bought scores from Borders. Cheaper there.

We left on monday. Reached singapore at 6:30 due to the massive jam at JB.

Will post pictures soon!

Tataaz!
